SCL Webinar
Her Honour Frances Kirkham CBE
Simon Hale, 4 Pump Court

Due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic upon construction projects around the world, we can expect to see a prominent rise in the enforcement of performance-related securities. In this webinar, Simon Hale of 4 Pump Court will consider a number of recent decisions in domestic and international courts, and address important issues of principle and practice that can arise in this area.  This will include Leonardo SpA v Doha Bank Assurance Co LLC [2020] QIC (A) 1, an appellate decision that discusses the Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG), in which Simon appeared for the successful contractor.
