Kate HowellKate is a Legal Director in the Construction and Engineering team at Blake Morgan LLP, based in their Cardiff office. Having previously carried out developer-funded work in the heritage sector, she qualified as a solicitor in 2011. She specialises in dispute resolution, acting for both public and private sector clients. She has considerable experience of litigation in the TCC, including acting for a commercial tenant in a number of multi-party disputes regarding cladding defects. She also regularly resolves disputes by way of adjudication, mediation and other forms of ADR. |
Tony NorrisTony heads up the National Infrastructure & Construction Team at Geldards. He specialises in project work, disputes and has been an accredited Adjudicator for 20 years. His clients include central government bodies, local and other public authorities, regulatory bodies as well as acting for specialist private sector contractors in the infrastructure & construction space. He is seen as an industry expert and sits on the Board of Constructing Excellence Wales and also has been chair of the South East Wales Club for over 10 years. |
Professor Sarah LuptonSarah is a partner in Lupton Stellakis and directs the Master of Design Administration and the Diploma in Professional Practice at Cardiff University. She lectures widely and is the author of many books including a series on JCT contracts, Guide to the RIBA Domestic and Concise Building Contracts, Cornes and Lupton’s Design Liability in the Construction Industry, and Which Contract? 6th ed (co-authored with Manos Stellakis). Sarah acts as an arbitrator, adjudicator and expert witness in construction disputes. She represents the RIBA on the JCT Drafting Sub-Committee, and is a member of the CIC Liability Panel and the RIBA PSC Editorial Group. |
Iwan JenkinsIwan is a Partner in the Construction, Energy and Projects team at Hugh James, and he advises on non-contentious construction matters. His expertise includes advising public sector clients in social housing, education, local and national government as well as contractors, consultants, sub-contractors, developers and funders in the private sector. Iwan qualified as a Solicitor in 1997. He then moved to Morgan Cole in 1999, for almost 14 years, before becoming a Partner at Hugh James in 2013. In addition to being a fluent Welsh speaker, Iwan is a former Board Director of Constructing Excellence in Wales and a member of the Forum of the Built Environment. |
